Bellara Lutare is a skilled elven mage and Veiljumper in Dragon Age: The Veilguard (2024). Known for her unwavering curiosity and deep knowledge of ancient elven magic, Bellara brings both intellect and intensity to the team. As a Veiljumper, she has a unique ability to navigate and manipulate the Veil, the mystical boundary between the physical world and the Fade. Her fascination with elven history and technology makes her one of the game’s more adventurous companions, as she constantly pushes boundaries — even if it occasionally means flirting with danger.

Throughout The Veilguard, Bellara’s role as both an ally and a scholar adds depth to the story. Her expertise with ancient relics and the Veil itself often proves essential to the player’s journey, especially when dealing with ancient threats and discovering long-lost secrets of elven lore. Despite her sometimes aloof demeanor, Bellara’s determination and insight make her a beloved companion, one whose loyalty and resourcefulness shine through in critical moments.

In terms of her bisexuality, Bellara is romanceable by the player’s character regardless of sex or gender identity, making her one of the eight pan/bisexual companions in The Veilguard. This inclusive feature allows players to explore a romantic storyline with her that brings emotional complexity to the game. Bellara’s character, alongside Emmrich’sNeve Gallus, Lace Harding, Lucanis Dellamorte, Davrin, Taash, and Rook, add depth to Veilguard’s inclusive cast, exemplifying a broader spectrum of attraction and reinforcing the Dragon Age series’s commitment to rich, varied LGBT representation.
