Gottmik

Gottmik, whose real name is Gottlieb, is a prominent drag performer and makeup artist. Determined and multi-faceted in their talents, they gained international stardom as a contestant of Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race (2021), breaking barriers as the first openly transgender man to participate, challenging the definition of modern drag.

Known for their “boldly avant-garde and vintage circus-glamour-inspired makeup artistry”, Gottlieb has collaborated with A-list celebrities working with Cindy Crawford, Tinashe, Steve Aoki, French Montana, Lil Nas X, Leona Lewis, Adam Lambert, RuPaul, Cara Delevingne, and Paris Hilton, among others. They’re definitely fun to watch, both as an artist and as someone who has had a significant influence, setting trends and breaking new ground.

Gottmik identifies as pansexual and has talked about their sexuality on multiple occasions. In a 2021 interview with LGBT magazine Them, they discussed identity and labels.

To me, it just means that I do not care about gender at all. All I really care about is a really gorgeous personality. […] Labelling attraction, I don’t think, is an important thing. We’re going to just stop with the labels, love is love, period.

Gottmik returned to the RuPaul franchise as a contestant on the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
