Valerio Montesinos Rojas (Jorge López) is introduced as a student at Colegio Las Encinas in the second and third seasons of the Spanish teen series Elite (2018-2024) on Netflix.

Valerio is the half-brother of Lucrecia Montesinos (Danna Paola) through their father. Both siblings attend Las Encinas because their parents are diplomats. Valerio was initially sent to boarding school, but his father's job and the separation from his mother led them to live in several countries. Settling down in Spain was something Valerio needed, even if it wasn't immediately apparent, because he is emotionally unstable and yearns for a sense of stability.

Valerio is known for his outgoing and happy personality. His first love was his half-sister Lucrecia. Their relationship is complex and unhealthy, not only due to their familial bond but also because Valerio often acts irresponsibly and vengefully to keep her close. His actions are driven by his emotional instability and desire for attention.

Valerio's character evolves when he enters a polyamorous relationship with Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) and Polo (Álvaro Rico). Initially, he views the relationship as just another experience, but it soon becomes a significant part of his life. Through this relationship, Valerio experiences true intimacy and trust, which helps all three characters grow and improve as individuals.

Although Valerio does not explicitly identify as bi throughout the series, he is open about his relationships and lives his sexuality freely. However, his issues with substance abuse, both consuming and selling, ultimately led to his expulsion from both the relationship and Las Encinas.

Valerio's character is a complex portrayal of a young man struggling with emotional instability, substance abuse, and the challenges of living freely in a society with strict norms. While he can be seen as a negative representation of the bi community due to his reckless behavior, he also represents a person striving to find happiness and meaning in life, gradually learning to do so more responsibly.
