Leopoldo Benavent Villada, better known as Polo (Álvaro Rico), was introduced as one of the main characters in the Spanish teen series Elite (2018-2024) on Netflix for three seasons.

Polo is a high-class student at Colegio Las Encinas, one of the most exclusive schools in Madrid, Spain, attended only by children of influential people. He was raised by a pair of influential lesbians who had a significant impact on both his professional life and within Las Encinas.

Until he entered high school, Polo had been in a single heterosexual relationship with Carla Rosón (Ester Expósito). However, out of boredom, they decided to include Christian (Miguel Herrán) in an attempt to spice up their relationship, eventually forming a polyamorous relationship. Later, Polo continues down the path of polyamory by getting involved with Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) and Valerio (Jorge López), not realizing that this relationship would later help him grow as a person.

As the series progresses, Polo normalizes sexual contact with other men, though not openly, as he never identifies as bisexual until a conversation in season 3 with Ander (Arón Piper), with whom he also had a brief encounter. Despite this, they chose to remain just friends and became great confidants.

Polo was a capricious and manipulative character, likely motivated by coming from an influential family that he knew would help him if he got into trouble. However, his character development leads him to admit his mistakes to the most important people in his life.
