Ross Victory is a multimedia artist based in Los Angeles, a beacon of creativity and commitment whose life and work are defined by resilience, transformation, and social advocacy. His career spans various disciplines, including literature, music, and activism, and he stands out as someone dedicated to social change and the well-being of vulnerable communities, creating a rich and multifaceted body of work that resonates deeply with those who know him.

After the loss of his father in 2014 and his brother in 2017, Ross rediscovered his passion for writing, which allowed him to channel pain and sorrow into artistic creation. This healing process led him to publish six books, covering both fiction and nonfiction, with his award-winning memoir Views from the Cockpit (2019) standing out as a testament to his ability to transform pain into beauty, exploring themes such as his relationship with his father and the process of his loss.

He is also known for his YA horror series Grandpa’s Cabin (2021). But literature is not the only medium through which Ross expresses his soul. From his early days in talent shows to his successful career as an independent artist, Ross has demonstrated an innate ability to create songs that connect with audiences on a deep level. Themes such as mental health, social justice, and LGBT identity are recurring in his work, making him a vocal advocate for marginalized communities.

With a melodic voice, moving lyrics, and catchy singles like “Bisexual Daze” (2023) [above] and “Bounce” (2022), which reflect his unique style influenced by ’90s R&B and hip-hop, Ross has made a significant mark in the music world. Since launching his music career in 2019, he has released 12 singles and 2 EPs, blending rhythms that explore themes of racial justice, mental health, and self-love. In particular, his collaboration with Ne-Yo on “My Fault” (2021) addresses racial injustice and self-pity, while “One Step at a Time” (2022), released on World Mental Health Day, has become an anthem for those struggling with anxiety and depression.

In addition to his artistic work, Ross has been a staunch advocate for the rights of LGBT communities, especially on the issue of bisexuality, as well as social issues like elder abuse and homelessness. His involvement with organizations such as Shower of Hope and Covenant House reflects his commitment to social justice, and providing support for homeless individuals. In 2020, he joined StillBi.org, where he contributed to the development of an affirmative therapist directory, and in 2023, he joined the board of the Los Angeles Bi+ Task Force, an organization dedicated to improving the living and working conditions of Bi+ Black Men, MSPEC youth, and other marginalized groups.

Ross’s journey as an artist and activist has been intertwined with his healing process, making his life and work a testament to resilience and transformation. Through his music, literature, and activism, he aims to create a space where inclusion, empowerment, and social change are possible. Ross Victory is not just a prolific creator, but an agent of change in society.
