Brendon Boyd Urie is an American musician best known as the former lead vocalist of the pop rock band Panic! at the Disco.

Panic! at the Disco has released seven studio albums with Urie as lead vocalist. In fact, Urie was the only member of the group to remain throughout its nearly 20-year run. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was released in 2005 with the hit lead single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" propelling it to 1.8 million sales. For their second album, Pretty. Odd. (2008), Urie wrote "I Have Friends in Holy Spaces" and the festival favorite "Folkin' Around".

He also wrote "New Perspective" for the soundtrack of the bi horror movie Jennifer's Body (2009).

In March 2011, the band released their third album, Vices & Virtues, and their fourth album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! in October 2013. Too Weird debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The band released their fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor, in January 2016, eventually earning their best sales week and first number one album.

Urie has been involved in a number of other projects, including providing vocals for several Fall Out Boy songs as well as appearing in their music videos, and being featured in Taylor Swift’s 2019 “Me!”. He also played Charlie Price in Cyndi Lauper's Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots from May 26th to August 6th, 2017.

In 2023 the group announced their end through a post on Instagram, after making a significant impact in the pop-punk and emo music genres.

Brendon Urie is very open about his bisexuality, saying,

If a person is great, then a person is great. I just like good people, if your heart's in the right place. It's just people that I am attracted to.[1]

Panic! At the DIsco's song "Girls/Girls/Boys" (2013) has become a bi anthem reassuring everyone that "love is not a choice". Urie says that the song is inspired by his first threesome.[2]
