Megan Denise Fox is an American actor and model.

Born in 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Fox was raised in a broken home and subjected to repressive and abusive treatment. Dance and drama, which she began studying at a very young age, were her escape as well as her pathway to independence. Fox began professionally acting in 2001 when she was 15, earning bit parts in films or shows such as Bad Boys II (2003) and Two and a Half Men (2003–2015). She also landed some larger roles in smaller productions, such as the low-budget Swedish-American daytime soap opera, Ocean Ave. (2002–2003), for which she appeared in 87 episodes.

Fox’s big break came in 2007, when she co-starred in Michael Bay’s blockbuster action movie Transformers opposite Shia LeBouf. The film grossed more than $700 million worldwide, catapulting her from an obscure actor to a household name whose every move is covered by the paparazzi. She reprised her role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), which surpassed its predecessor at the box office, earning more than $830 million globally. In the years since, she has starred or co-starred in dozens of films, including Jennifer’s Body (2009), Jonah Hex (2010), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016), Zeroville (2019), Rogue (2020), Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021), Till Death (2021), and The Expendables 4 (2023). As of 2024, she has appeared in more than 50 movies or TV series. She also played Reagan Lucas, a bi character, in seasons five and six of New Girl (2011–2018).

In addition to her acting career, Fox has modeled for a number of magazines, such as Rolling Stone, Basic, FHM, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated. Widely considered a modern sex symbol, she was often compared to Angelina Jolie in the years after her rise to fame.

In a 2010 interview with Esquire, Fox was very open about her bisexuality, saying:

I have no question in my mind about being bisexual.

In a 2021 interview with InStyle, Fox shared her pride over LGBT fans telling her that she’s helped them understand their sexuality or come out, saying:

One of my favorite things that I get called is being a bi icon, and that is one of the things I am the most proud of!

Fox was married to actor Brian Austin Green from 2010 to 2021, with whom she had three children. She was engaged to the rapper Colson Baker, known as MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly) in 2022, though the engagement was later broken off.
