Nicola Porcella
Famous BisNicola Emilio Porcella Solimano is a Peruvian-Mexican actor, television personality, and retired professional soccer player.
Porcella’s career began as a pro footballer in 2006 when he joined the Peruvian club FBC Melgar before going on to play for Deportivo Municipal and Universidad San Marcos. He retired from soccer in 2010.
In 2012, he made a name for himself by participating in 21 episodes of the Peruvian competition reality show Esto es guerra (2012–), where he won the title of “Best Warrior.” He went on to appear in several Peruvian series, miniseries, and reality shows, including Vacaciones en Grecia (2013), Ven, Baila, Quinceañera (2015–), and Al fondo hay sitio (2009–). Porcella’s biggest role to date has been a 117-episode run on the telenovela program Te Volveré A Encontrar (2020–). He also hosted the Peruvian radio program Habla kausa.
On a 2023 episode of La Casa de los Famosos México (2023–), a Mexican reality show similar to Big Brother (2000–) in the US, Porcella came out as pansexual, which falls under the bi umbrella.
During the 2010s, Porcella also founded a clothing brand, N12, and a production company, Corona Producciones, both of which were short-lived. He has triple citizenship in his native Peru, as well as Mexico, where he has worked, and Italy, where he lived for a time as a child.
