Emily Ratajkowski is an American model, actor, author, and podcaster.
Emily began her acting career in television, portraying Tasha on the Nickelodeon series iCarly (2007). Later, she transitioned to film, appearing in the thriller Gone Girl (2014). Additionally, she featured in the film adaptation of Entourage (2015) and co-starred with Zac Efron in the musical drama We Are Your Friends (2015). In 2013, Esquire magazine named her Woman of the Year, while GQ magazine crowned her the sexiest woman in the world in 2014. Emily gained global recognition for her appearance in the music video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”.
Emily was born in London, England, and grew up in Encinitas, California. Passionate about traveling, she started her modeling career at the age of fourteen. Although she initially pursued studies in Fine Art at UCLA, she ultimately decided to focus on her modeling aspirations.
In a new Interview for Harper’s BAZAAR’s US November 2022 story, Emily comes out as bi and says she doesn’t “believe in straight people”. All this happened after the actress uploaded a TikTok trend where one responded to a user who asked, “If you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch?” In the video, Emily panned her phone to her living room where a green velvet couch is showing. (She has since deleted the video from her feed.)
