I’m a musician, writer, editor, and organizer living in San Francisco.

I’m attracted to people, and really not that many people, based on various factors involving chemistry, camaraderie, and compatibility, but not based on gender identity.

We are real human beings with a real, legitimate identity. We are not confused, greedy, nor going through a phase.

I’ve known I was attracted to people, not genders, since I was about 18. But I didn’t understand that bisexual was a valid way to identify myself until my 40s. I’ve generally wound up in relationships with men, because men were interested in me and women were not. I’ve been incorrectly labeled as straight, when I’ve been in relationships with men, and I incorrectly identified myself as lesbian when I was pursuing relationships with women only. It thought that might make it easier to find a girlfriend. It didn’t. I’m bisexual and I know it!
