Shatterstar

Shatterstar comes from the planet Mojoworld, although he is also from the future. He can create teleportation portals, has accelerated healing powers, and can control frequencies of electricity which allows him to create powerful shockwaves.

Shatterstar’s origins are unclear. It seems that he is biologically the son of Longshot, however, he was genetically engineered on Mojo to serve as a gladiator slave. 

He escaped and joined a rebel group that is fighting to overthrow the dictatorship of Mojo. It is through this group that he is sent to Earth and begins to work with X-Force. 

Shatterstar’s creator, Fabian Nicieza, has stated that the hero grew up in a world without romance or sex and was just learning about his own sexuality.^[1]

Later, writers built on this, allowing Shatterstar to explore his sexuality to the fullest. After sharing a kiss with Rictor, Peter David confirmed that Shatterstar is bisexual.
