Keri T’Vessa

Bi Characters

Keri T’Vessa (often stylized “Keri”) is a companion and romanceable character in Mass Effect: Andromeda (2017), BioWare’s sci fi role playing and third person shooter game. Working as a journalist and documentary producer on the Nexus, she is romanceable by both Scott and Sara Ryder, which qualifies her as one of Andromeda’s bisexual characters. Her role adds a media and truth voice to the crew’s dynamics, bridging public perception and hidden realities.

Keri was born into a diplomatic family; her parents served as ambassadors, and she spent her youth traveling between diplomatic circles, coastal towns, and international social events. But rather than follow the expected path, she became drawn to documenting truth and challenging narratives. Facing disapproval from her family, Keri severed formal ties and signed on with the Andromeda Initiative, in part as a chance to tell history from the front lines rather than behind the scenes.

In Andromeda, Keri contacts Pathfinder Ryder early in the mission to request interviews and access for her documentary efforts. She works under assignment from Director Tann to help frame a narrative about the Initiative’s progress, but she pushes for an honest telling rather than a propaganda piece. Keri appears in various mission hubs, offering commentary, requesting follow ups, and sometimes pushing the player to reveal deeper truths. Her presence grounds the story in public perception: she asks tough questions about colonist safety, transparency, and the cost of expansion.

Keri’s personality is persistent, inquisitive, and courageous. Her romance path, available to either Ryder, is characterized by mutual intellectual engagement and candid communication. She does not shy away from conflict or inconvenient truths, yet her vulnerability shows in moments where she confronts censorship, safety, or moral compromise. Whether pursued romantically or not, her presence as a truth seeker and chronicler enriches the squad, not just as a love interest but as someone whose curiosity and voice impact how the story is told.
