Yung Miami is an American rapper and one-half of the popular rap duo City Girls which she formed with her friend JT (Jatavia Johnson). Miami always believed she was unique and had local recognition before her fame.

In 2017, her childhood friend, JT, proposed starting City Girls, she joined in despite her limited musical experience. The duo is known for their explicit and confident lyrics, often celebrating female empowerment and financial independence. They first gained recognition for their appearance on Drake’s 2018 hit In My Feelings. Subsequently, they released their debut studio album, Girl Code (2018), which included tracks like Twerk and Act Up.

In 2023, Yung Miami and JT released their third album, RAW.

Miami openly talked about her sexuality on The Jason Lee Show where revealed that she identifies as bil but clarified that she couldn’t see herself in a romantic relationship with a woman.

She had publicly shown her affection for Megan Thee Stallion. In 2021, both artists flirted on Twitter, expressing mutual interest in dating each other.

Miami’s openness about her sexuality reflects personal growth and understanding of the queer spectrum. Despite controversies and challenges, she has come a long way from her origins in Florida’s Opa-locka neighborhood.
