Tommy Martinez is a Venezuelan-born American actor and model known for his co-starring role in the series Good Trouble.
Martinez began acting professionally in 2017 with small roles in Shameless and NCIS: Los Angeles. His other work includes appearances in series such as The Mosquito Coast, Hunters, Not Dead Yet, and Riverdale.
During a panel discussing Good Trouble, in which he plays Gael, a bi character, Martinez opened up about his own experiences with men and how they helped him to identify with his role.
I had an experience with a man maybe 10 years ago, and this is the first time that I’m saying this publicly. And throughout the whole time, I felt like I was put into the shadow, because the way that my community was, the way they spoke about [LGBT people], [the] Hispanic community, it’s not only just them… when I got the audition notice and dove deeper into the character, I just felt right with it.
