Sherry Cola is a Chinese-American comedian and actor.
Cola started out at a college radio station, where she worked her way up hosting her own show. She later moved to more mainstream radio shows before leaning into stand-up comedy and landing acting roles in films and series including I Love Dick (2016-2017), Good Trouble (2019–), Claws (2017–2022), Shortcomings (2023), and Joy Ride (2023), among dozens of others.
Cola is openly bi and has been very outspoken about the lack of good bi representation in popular media. Alongside Good Trouble co-star Tommy Martinez, she made a PSA-style video about bisexuality.
Sherry was the keynote speaker at the 2021 Belknap Pride Keynote where she spoke about queer representation: “Queerness wasn’t a conversation topic growing up. But we’re out here living our life despite no one rooting for us. It’s really special.”
Cola was also nominated for a Queerty Award in 2023 for her contributions to the culture as a queer comic.
