Shailene Woodley is an actress and activist. Woodley rose to fame for her leading role as Amy Jurgens on the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008-2013).
She earned critical praise for her roles in The Descendants (2011) and The Spectacular Now (2013). Her lead roles in The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and the Divergent series (2014-2016) brought her global recognition. She has also portrayed Jane Chapman in the HBO limited series, Big Little Lies (2017-2019).
Besides acting, Woodley is an environmental activist and has served as a board member of Our Revolution.[1]
Woodley does not speak much about her private life, but when asked by The Hollywood Reporter she said, “I fall in love with human beings based on who they are, not based on what they do or what sex they are.”[2]
