Lauren Amber Aquilina is a British singer-songwriter.

She released her first EP, Fools, in 2012, which quickly gained attention on social media and led to a record deal with Island Records. Her subsequent EPs, Sinners (2013) and Liars (2014), further showcased her emotional songwriting. In 2016, Aquilina took a break from music to focus on her mental health and personal life.

Lauren is openly bi. She came out in an open letter to her fans, discussing the importance of visibility and representation for the LGBT community.

In an interview with Diva magazine in 2016, she discussed how her sexuality has influenced her music and how she hopes to be a role model for young LGBT people.

“I’ve had fans message me saying how much they appreciate me being open and honest about my sexuality because they don’t have anyone to look up to. That’s really sad to me, so I try to be as vocal as possible.”

Aquilina’s music often deals with themes of love and relationships, and she has written songs about both men and women.

“I think it’s important to talk about love in all its forms – not just heterosexual love, but love between two women, two men, and everything in between.”
