Katherine Barrell is a Canadian actor, director, and writer. She has recently been playing Officer Nicole Haught on the SyFy show Wynonna Earp (2016-2021).
In addition to appearing on shows such as Workin' Moms and Stark Trek: Discovery, Barrell enjoys working behind the scenes. She has worked as a producer and director on a number of short films, and is currently in development on her first feature film.
In the August 2019 issue of Diva Magazine, Barrell talked about playing a queer character and also casually mentioned her own bisexuality.
I am attracted to both men and women and the person I fell in love with is a man. I wish it could just be about the human I am in love with, not their gender. This is why I am so passionate about advocating for equal acceptance across the spectrum of sexuality. Let’s just love who we love and leave each other alone. The world has bigger problems.
