Chuck Tingle

Chuck Tingle is the author of dozens of self-published satirical erotic novels. Many of his novels involve dinosaurs, bigfoots (bigfeet?), unicorns, and various traditionally inanimate objects. 

Tingle’s identity is hotly debated. His name is a pseudonym, but his biographical details may or may not be fictionalized. 

Tingle claims to have been raised in a conservative household and had a tragic life. He now lives with his son, Jon, who edits his work.

His quirky, humorous, and surreal erotic fiction has taken the internet by storm. 

In 2016, an alt-right group called “Rabid Puppies”, led by Theodore Beale (aka Vox Day), nominated his book Space Raptor Butt Invasion in an attempt to delegitimize the awards. Day had been kicked out of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America after making extremely racist comments^[1] against author N.K. Jemisin.^[2]

Tingle responded by using the press he got from the nomination to promote Zoe Quinn, N.K. Jemisin, and sci-fi writer Rachel Swirsky’s campaign to raise money for LGBT health resources.^[3]

Although Tingle will likely be moved over to bi characters, he is also very openly bi.

In 2019 he started the podcast My Friend Chuck alongside writer/comedian McKenzie Goodwin where they talk “about friendship, erotica and most importantly, proving love is real”.
