Carole Ita White is an American film and television actress.
Carole began her acting career in the early 1970s, playing small roles in television and film. Her debut was in the TV movie Evil Roy Slade (1970), written by producer and director Garry Marshall, who later cast her in a role on his show The Odd Couple (1970-1975).
White gained recognition for her portrayal of Big Rosie Greenbaum in the popular sitcom Laverne & Shirley (1976-1983). Her first appearance in it was as a nemesis to the title characters during the second season, and she continued to make appearances in subsequent seasons. White also made guest appearances on shows like Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (1976–1977), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–2000), and Profiler (1996-2000), and appeared on game shows like The $20,000 Pyramid (1976-1980). She has continued to act in small film roles over the years, including in movies such as Falling Down (1993), The Witches of Eastwick (1987), and Grand Canyon (1991), as well as in the 2005 independent film Wannabe.
During an interview on OutQ Gay Radio, a news and entertainment channel on Sirius XM Radio targeted for gay, lesbian, bi, and transgender audiences in both the United States and Canada, Carole White publicly revealed her bisexuality on January 19, 2010.
