Brooke Blurton rose to fame when she was announced as the first openly bi Bachelorette (or Bachelor) of the enormous franchise. She was chosen for the 7th season of The Bachelorette Australia.
In addition to being the first bisexual Bachelorette, she is the first indigenous Bachelor or Bachelorette. She was previously featured on The Bachelor as a contestant. Blurton is a youth worker who advocates for mental health.
She has spoken extensively about her experiences growing up mixed-race and her difficult childhood.
Her season of The Bachelorette aired in the fall of 2021. She chose David Garayelli and the two remain a couple.
