Annie Hoey
Famous BisAnnie Hoey is an Irish Labor Party politician. A recognized innovative leader within Irish politics who has served as a Senator on the Agricultural Panel since April 2020.
Annie has a Bachelor of Arts (Dramatic and Theater Studies), a Master of Arts in World and Comparative Literature in 2012, and completed a postgraduate degree in Women’s Studies in 2013. During her student life, she participated in representative roles in the political body of The Union of Students in Ireland, contributed to Amnesty, and co-founded the first feminist society of the University College Cork, National University of Ireland, FemSoc. All this active student life resulted in a seat for Hoey in the Seanad Eireann (Irish Senate).
Senator Hoey has on her main agenda issues such as abortion care, marriage equality, transphobia, biphobia and homophobia, diversity, inclusion, equality, and acceptance.
