Alyson Rae Stoner is an American actor, singer, dancer, and model.

Born in Ohio, Stoner trained as a model and studied tap dancing, jazz dancing, and ballet growing up. Stoner’s start in show business began in 2002 at just nine years old, with a co-hosting gig for the Disney Channel’s Mike’s Super Short Show (2002–2007). From there a multi-faceted career blossomed as an actor as well as a dancer, including collaborations with recording artists such as Eminem, Missy Elliott, Outkast, and Will Smith.

Stoner has appeared in more than 130 films, television shows, web series, video games, and music videos as both a live-action actor, a dancer, and a voice performer. They are best known for their roles in Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005—2007), Camp Rock (2008), Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), the Step Up series (2006, 2010, 2014), Pete the Cat (2017–2022), Phineas and Ferb (2007–2024), and the Kingdom Hearts franchise (2008–2020).

In addition to acting and dancing, Stoner has pursued a parallel career in music, releasing two extended plays, Beat the System (2011) and While You Were Sleeping (2016), as well as 12 singles. Stoner has also been featured on four singles, “We Rock” (2008) and “It’s On” from Camp Rock, “Without You” by Tyler Ward, and “Give Me Strength” by Brock Baker.

Stoner’s work has been nominated for six Young Artist Awards, including a win in 2004. In 2017, they won a Streamy Award for Best Dance Performance, and in 2018, their voice acting was recognized with two BTVA wins and two more nominations.

While Stoner has not specifically labeled themselves bisexual, in a 2018 Teen Vogue article titled “How I Embraced My Sexual Identity”, they wrote “I, Alyson, am attracted to men, women, and people who identify in other ways.”[1] In 2023, Stoner stated a preference for they/them pronouns, and revealed that they’d been fired from a Disney show in 2018 after coming out as queer.
