FacesAbout Me
I am a professional musician…no, not famous, but have a great life. I’ve traveled in the US from Key West to San Diego and NY. I’ve played clubs in Europe. I am educated including a Master’s Degree. I like studying and doing research on Mississippi’s great, diverse musical heritage. I like to ride motorcycles…I have a Honda, not a Harley. I have a dog that sometimes travels with me. He’s a rescue named Mac…named for McKinley Morganfield…look him up.
What Being Bi Means to Me
It’s who I am and I know no other way.
If the World Knew About Bisexuals
We exist. We are not all predators. We are not all promiscuous. In short, we are normal folks that are just wired differently.
My Path to Bisexual Identity
I am a singer/songwriter and have been playing in front of crowds since I was 11…which was the year I first played with a boy. High school was tough for me as I was a pretty good athlete but didn’t join team sports because I was afraid I would get hard in the shower with all the naked boys. Of course I didn’t know what to call it but I knew I liked boys and girls. Growing up in SW Mississippi in the 60’s there wasn’t anyone to talk to and nowhere to get info. College…a little fooling around. Then came marriage to a woman who was was a lesbian and she didn’t know it. I wish she and I had talked about it. After the divorce the floodgate opened and I dated a guy for awhile. He was younger and taught me so much. So today…I am healthy, happy and at the end of the set, I can go home alone or with Larry or lisa.
The Toughest Thing About Being Bi
Is being bi tough? I wouldn’t know because I don’t know what it is like to be anything else.
How People Reacted When I Came Out
Those that know…I am out but I do not wear my sexuality on my t-shirts…have had different reactions but none that were negative.
