About Me

I am pure Michigan and a lifelong Detroiter at heart. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 18 years. I am in the real estate/property management/service industry serving as a professional portfolio manager of homeowner associations. I am worthy of happiness, an avid gardener who enjoys nature and just having fun trying to enjoy life. I like to bowl, swim and play steel tip darts with my bride and friends in one of the nation’s oldest sanctioned dart leagues. I have 3 older sisters and I am the youngest sibling (yes, the spoiled brother). Both of my parents have since passed and I miss them dearly. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan and involved in serving our local community in the City I was raised and still currently reside as a lifelong resident. Life is good regardless of life’s daily challenges. I am blessed to be alive, healthy and as original as I can be.

What Being Bi Means to Me

It’s who I am and that makes me smile. It’s the best of both worlds and I strongly believe I am a better person because there is an understanding of both sexes. I see life from both perspectives and it makes me a stronger individual but I have so much to learn and discover. I will always have more questions than answers. Every day is a new challenge to express to the world who I am and how I live my life. I know in my lifetime, it will get better and I long for the day it will be socially acceptable with a clearer understanding of human nature as it exists. This isn’t a choice, it is just who I am.

If the World Knew About Bisexuals

We are as unique as you are just better :)rnrnWe are your family, friend, neighbor and ally. rnWe will always exist and we aren’t going anywhere. rnWe are human, we are real and we love you too, no matter what.

My Path to Bisexual Identity

Since I was very young child and for as long as I can remember I was always attracted to both sexes. It was a confusing discovery as I knew I wasn’t homosexual or heterosexual but 100% bisexual. My wife knew before we ever dated. It wasn’t easy at first but I listened to many role models “out” there in the world constantly saying that it gets better and you are not alone. This made me a better person as I grew older and I hoped that someday I could feel more comfortable discussing this with the world.

The Toughest Thing About Being Bi

Not being 100% honest with life and the limited acceptance and understanding of bisexuality.

The Best Thing About Being Bi

You love everyone…at least I do.

How People Reacted When I Came Out

For those who know, it’s has been tears of joy and acceptance. I only wish I could be more open about it but you have to respect people’s boundaries. It’s not easy for many people to understand, even though it’s reality. So far, so good.
