Michael Guerin is an alien trying to escape earth on the CW show Roswell, New Mexico, based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz.
In 1997, Michael and his siblings Max and Isobel crashed to earth in a pod. They were found walking alone on a road and taken to a group home. Isobel and Max were adopted, while Michael was raised in foster care. Michael has the power of telekinesis and can sometimes communicate telepathically.
After high school, Michael starts a relationship with Alex Manes, a troubled air force veteran. Alex's father disapproves of their romantic involvement, and Alex tries to deny his love for Michael in order to live up to expectations. Michael decides that the two are not good for each other, even though they love each other.
After a one-night stand with Alex's best friend Maria, Michael begins to realize that he has feelings for her. Although he eventually breaks up with her because he "loves her too much," he eventually realizes that he loves her too much to leave. He decides to stay on earth so he can be with her.
