Maxine “Max” Caulfield is the playable character of Life is Strange. She’s an aspiring photographer and a senior at Blackwell Academy.
After saving her friend Chloe Price from being killed in one of Blackwell Academy’s bathrooms, Max discovers she has the ability to rewind and stop time. She uses her newfound powers to investigate the disappearance of Rachel Amber.
Max has a potential romance with Chloe, and depending on the player’s choices, she may even sacrifice the entire town to stay with her. Another character, Warren, also pursues Max throughout the game, and you can choose to kiss him as well.
