Jeremiah Fisher

Jeremiah Fisher is one of the main characters in the YA romantic drama, The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022). He is portrayed in the series by Gavin Casalegno. It is an adaptation of the 2009 best-selling novel of the same name by Jenny Han, which is the first in a trilogy. Han also serves as a writer and executive producer on the show.

Jeremiah is a rare example in streaming television not only of a male bi character, but a male bi character that bucks a lot of stereotypes. He is open and affirming about his bisexuality, is generally a happy-go-lucky character, and does not suffer from the  #KillYourGays trope. While in the novels Jeremiah is straight, he is exploring his queer identity in the series and is not afraid to talk about it or explore it openly.
