Dagdar is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is the leader of the reformed Mount Violdrake Bandits and the father of Tanya. He also serves as a father figure to Marty. Alongside Eyvel and Finn, Dagdar is a founder of the Fiana Freeblades.
Having spent much of his life as a brigand, Dagdar can seem rough around the edges; however, he is always willing to help those he cares about.
The game was never released in English, so there is some debate about translation and the nature of Dagdar's sexuality. The fan translation of the game states that it ends with a male character, Marty, being described as: "Marty — the man who Dagdar loved." There is debate as to the nature of that love.[1]
Dagdar also has a daughter, Tanya. Although we don't know much about her mother, it seems that he did have a romantic relationship with her. Because of this, many fans have decided that Dagdar is bi.
