Claire Fisher

Claire Fisher (played by Lauren Ambrose) is the rebellious daughter of the Fisher family. She is a chronic underachiever throughout the show who goes through a series of highly dysfunctional relationships. In the last few minutes of the show, it is revealed that she becomes a highly successful photographer.

In the middle of her various dysfunctional relationships with men, she briefly has a romantic relationship with a woman— Edie. She seems deeply ambivalent about her own sexuality, something that drives a wedge between her and Edie. The show and most fans tend to write this episode off as “experimenting” in college, especially because she eventually marries a man.
