Jennifer's Body (2009), directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody, is a horror-comedy film that centers around the friendship between two high school girls, Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) and Anita "Needy" Lesnicki (Amanda Seyfried).
The film begins with Jennifer and Anita as best friends, and the story revolves around their friendship. However, things take a dark turn when Jennifer is sacrificed and dies in a satanic ritual. Rather than staying dead, she returns as a succubus, seducing, killing, and consuming her male classmates. As Anita attempts to unravel the mystery and save her best friend, the plot intensifies.
While Anita and her boyfriend Chip (Johnny Simmons) are having sex, she senses that Jennifer is in trouble and goes running to find her friend. Jennifer finds Anita at home, and the two kiss. It’s clear that their friendship was always more intense than even the most toxic platonic high school girl friendship.
This campy horror film definitely plays with some cliched sexy sleepover tropes, but there is also a real connection between Jennifer and Anita, and the two are certainly bi.
