Benedict Bridgerton is one of the main characters in the Netflix historical romance-drama Bridgerton (2020-), based on a book series of the same name by Julia Quinn. Benedict is played by Luke Thompson.

Benedict is the second eldest son in a prominent English elite family of the Bridgertons in a fictionalized version of the country’s Regency era. As a character, he is warm, funny, open, teasing but supportive of his many brothers and sisters, with a streak of good-hearted rakishness that goes through his sex life in the first and second season of the show. Many of these qualities quickly led him to become a fan favorite.

During the third season, Benedict meets Tilley Arnold (Hannah New), a woman who matches him in flirting and playing games, and the two engage in a casual fling. In Part Two of the series, Tilley introduces him to her friend Paul Suarez (Lucas Aurelio), a patron of the theatrical arts who dislikes polite society and its rules. Initially, Benedict denies the spark between them, but eventually decides to kiss Paul, leading to multiple ménage-à-trois episodes with him, Paul, and Tilley. Benedict expresses the great joy these encounters bring him.
