Aviva is the royal consort and personal chef to Queen Shulamit in Shira Glassman's Mangoverse book series.

The daughter of the royal tailor, Aviva goes to work in the palace kitchens when she comes of age. Alone among the staff, she takes crown princess Shulamit’s concern over food allergies seriously and works to cook meals she can actually eat. The road to the heart runs through the stomach, and the two become fast friends and then lovers. After Shulamit takes the throne, Aviva becomes her unofficial queen consort, a position that slowly becomes more official as the series progresses and the people accept them.

A tough, loyal, warm-hearted woman with an oddly flowery speech pattern, Aviva survives kidnapping, abuse, and literally being turned to stone at various points in the novels. In addition to jointly running the kingdom, the two queens spend their time solving mysteries, advocating for labor rights in neighboring kingdoms, and raising their two adorable children. Aviva also maintains control over the royal kitchens, as experience has taught her that she just can't trust people to be mindful of her wife's allergies and not poison her by accident.

Like most of the characters in the novels Aviva is Jewish, something which informs her family life and her kitchen activities; from joyfully celebrating Purim with her children to creating a gluten-free Challah recipe so Shulamit can enjoy it along with the rest of them.
