The Warden is the protagonist of Dragon Age: Origins (2009), the first entry in the fantasy role-playing video game series Dragon Age. The game tells the story of a new recruit in the Grey Wardens, a secretive and endangered order of elite soldiers.
The Warden has one of six different backstories (which the player can experience in the form of six different opening chapters) based on the race and class the player chooses at the outset of the game. However the tale begins, the Warden is soon swept up in a race to build an alliance of humans, elves, dwarves, and mages in order to defeat an archdemon’s unholy army.
Regardless of the sex of the main character (which can also be chosen by the player at the outset of the game), the Warden has the opportunity to seduce and/or romance one or more male and female companions. This makes the Warden a bi character (or at least potentially so if the player wishes). The list of romance options includes two other bi characters: devoted bard Leliana and hedonistic assassin Zevran.
