Kalinda Sharma

Kalinda Sharma, played by Archie Panjabi, is a private investigator in the legal drama The Good Wife. She is the in-house private investigator at Lockharhart, Stern, and Gardner when Alicia begins working there. She is considered one of the best investigators in Chicago, refusing multiple job offers from various friends, clients, and government officials.

For the first few seasons, Alicia and Kalinda work closely together and Kalinda often delivers the key piece of intelligence that saves the day. She and Alicia also become very close friends. The friendship eventually dissolves when Alicia learns that Kalinda had had a brief affair with Alicia’s husband, Peter. Before the revelation, Alicia clearly suspects that Kalinda is a lesbian. 

Throughout seasons 1 through 6, Kalinda also has an on-again-off-again relationship with FBI agent Lana Delaney. 

In season four, we learn that Kalinda had fled an abusive husband. He returns and tries to manipulate her, holding her secret past over her head. She also starts up a romantic relationship with lawyer Cary Agos. 

In the last season, drug kingpin Lemond Bishop suspects that Kalinda has double-crossed him, and she disappears for her own safety.
