See You at the Summit is a romance novel by author Jordyn Taylor, published in 2026 by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Billed as “the bi romance of your dreams” by Cosmopolitan, the novel centers on Simone Whittaker, an early 30s woman looking for a fresh start after losing her job and the girl of her dreams — one Simone could never manage to call her girlfriend, for fear of what her family and friends might think.

But that was the old Simone. The novel begins on the first day of her new life: She’s starting a new job at Toronto’s Rainbow Museum. She’s looking for love. And, most importantly, she’s just come out as bi via an Instagram post, after years of pretending to be straight. She won’t be hiding anymore, even if that means lots and lots of change.

What Simone doesn’t count on is that change including Ryan Foley, the Rainbow Museum’s gruff—and straight—carpenter. She doesn’t also count on how badly they get off on the wrong foot. In fact, they can hardly stand each other, which is a problem because their boss has asked them both to attend the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival. Together.

Told from Simone’s point of view, Taylor’s novel explores themes such as coming out, biphobia, self-exploration, and friendship. It was named one of Autostraddle’s most anticipated books for January 2026, and listed by Town & Country as a most anticipated book of 2026. The book’s blurbs praised its exploration of identity, steamy sex scenes, and relatability (particularly for late-bloomers like Simone).

As a coming out story, See You at the Summit focuses on bisexuality and themes of bi erasure and heteronormativity. Simone spends much of the novel challenging her assumptions, both about herself and others; she navigates feeling both too queer and too straight, as well as the awkward pressure to announce her queerness to avoid being assumed straight (and how this pressure impacts both her and those around her). In walking these lines, Simone must come to terms with her identity and how she wants to be perceived in the world.

Though much of the novel is about Simone’s experience of bisexuality, See You at the Summit features other bisexual characters as well, one of whom has a lengthy heart-to-heart with Simone towards the end of the novel. Much of the characters are queer, including Simone’s coworkers Lucy, Nina, and Seth, as well as her ex, Bree. See You at the Summit is Taylor’s first adult romance novel; her previous novels are primarily YA. Her debut novel, The Paper Girls of Paris, was a USA TODAY bestseller.
