Margaret Moran Cho is an American comedian, actress, fashion designer, author, singer-songwriter, and activist. She is best known for her stand-up routines, through which she criticizes social and political problems — especially regarding race and sexuality.

In 1994, she created and starred in the ABC sitcom All-American Girl. She was also on the Lifetime Television show Drop Dead Diva. In 2012, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her guest-starring role as Dictator Kim Jong Il on 30 Rock. She joined the cast of Hulu's Sex Appeal in 2021 and starred in the film Fire Island (2022). Cho has over 125 acting credits, as well as being an accomplished writer, producer, and musician.

Cho is openly bi and has spoken widely about her experiences of being polyamorous, winning several awards for her LGBT activism and advocacy. In 2023, Margaret Cho was named the Icon Grand Marshal of the LA Pride Parade, alongside the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Southern California and the late actor Leslie Jordan, who was honored posthumously as the parade’s Legacy Grand Marshal.

In July 2019, she started her own podcast, The Margaret Cho, where she hosts guests from the entertainment industry and the LGBT community.
