Sophie-Anne Leclerq is the queen of the Louisiana vampires. She is interested in acquiring Sookie Stackhouse and her psychic abilities. She also takes Sookie's (female) cousin Hadley on as a lover and eventually turns her into a vampire in the novels. On the HBO show, Hadley remains human.
In addition to her relationship with Hadley, Sophie-Anne has had relationships with many of the vampires she created. Andre was a young orphan she found wandering the woods soon after she was changed. She turned him into a vampire and he became her lover and bodyguard for 200 years.
Sophie-Anne was killed in the eighth novel, From Dead to Worse, and season 4 of the HBO show.
