Vignette Stonemoss (played by #Bi2 actress Cara Delevingne) is the main character in the Amazon Prime Neo-Victorian noir, Carnival Row (2019-present).

Fleeing a previous life as a librarian-turned-smuggler, Vignette is a fae (fairy, or “Pix” in the derogatory terms of this show’s world) who tries to find a new life in the Burgue, one of the largest human districts after a war tore apart her old country. Smart, resourceful and stubborn, Vignette tries to piece together what happened when she finds out her former lover, constable Philo (Orlando Bloom) whom she thought was dead, is alive and well in this part of the world.

In her adventures she also spends time with her former lover Tourmaline (Karla Crome) who clearly still holds a flame for Vignette.

Vignette is a strong fantastical bi heroine being played by a queer woman, in a narrative where her queerness is not a source of conflict— that’s “no mean feat”, to use the parlance of the show. Vignette is neither a damsel in distress nor a “strong female character” stereotype, but rather has her own emotional arc and growth throughout the first season.
