Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord, is the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a group of misfits who travel around the universe saving the day and getting into trouble. Half-human and half-alien, he’s a goofy and charismatic adventurer with a heart of gold. He is a natural leader and strategist, able to think on his feet and come up with creative solutions to difficult problems.
Star-Lord has undergone significant development in the comics and movies. In the comics, he was initially portrayed as a bit of a rogue and an outlaw, constantly getting into trouble with the law and other alien races. However, he eventually becomes a leader and a hero, joining the Guardians of the Galaxy and fighting alongside other Marvel superheroes. He develops into a more mature and responsible leader, taking on a fatherly role to the other members. Along with his fellow Guardians, Star-Lord has become a beloved and iconic member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the comics, he has been depicted as heterosexual, having romantic relationships with women such as Kitty Pryde and Gamora. Recently, however, Star-Lord was revealed to be bi in a 2021 installment of the comic book series titled “I shall make you a Star-Lord” in Guardians of the Galaxy #9, Quill is shown being in a polyamorous relationship with a man and a woman.
