Eliot Waugh (Hale Appleman) is a Brakebills magician who later becomes a king of Fillory in The Magicians and the novels that the show is based on.
Eliot is the first student that Quentin meets at Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy. They become close friends and remain friends through their time at Brakebills and beyond.
Eliot is a hedonist who loves good food, good alcohol, and the good life in general. He is also a shameless flirt and very open about his attractions to men and women.
In the first book of the trilogy and on the show, Eliot has a one-night stand with Janet and Quentin. The show goes on to explore a long-term relationship with Quentin.
