Cleveland Castillo is one of the supporting characters in the YA romantic drama The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022). It is an adaptation from he bestselling novel by Jenny Han from 2009 of the same name. He is portrayed in the series by Alfredo Narciso.

Cleveland is a pretty rare beautiful example of bi men in modern television. While he does not use the term “bi” to define himself explicitly (although another character does and he doesn’t contradict the term), he is open about who he is and where his attractions lie. Cleveland is not relegated to the sexless supporting characters often seen in teen dramas but has his own storylines - that of prepping for his next novel as well as a romantic storyline. He is also a super-rare example of an elder queer in modern media (meaning 40+ in this instance) which isn’t often seen. He is also just generally a cinnamon roll and a delight whenever he pops up on the screen in this sometimes painfully earnest, bittersweet, teenaged tale.
