Dodie is a British singer-songwriter, author, and YouTuber. Dodie gained popularity through her YouTube channel doddleoddle, where she initially gained attention for her ukulele covers of popular songs and original music.

Growing up in Essex, Dodie began uploading videos to YouTube in 2007, gradually building a loyal fanbase with her authentic and engaging content. Her introspective and honest approach to songwriting resonates deeply with her audience, addressing themes of love, identity, and mental health.

Dodie released her debut EP, Intertwined, in 2016. Aside from her music career, Dodie has also ventured into writing. She published her book Secrets for the Mad: Obsessions, Confessions, and Life Lessons in 2017, which combines personal stories, advice, and illustrations.

Dodie publicly came out as bi in a video titled “I’m Bisexual” that she uploaded to her YouTube channel in 2016.

In the video, Dodie bravely shared her personal journey of discovering, accepting, and publicly acknowledging her bisexuality, speaking about her experiences of questioning her sexuality and the process of coming to terms with it, expressing her relief at finally embracing her feelings for men and women.
