With Halloween quickly approaching, you might find yourself scratching your head when it comes to figuring out what to wear for the spooky soirees to come. Rather than spending hours searching for that perfect Halloween look, take a few minutes to peruse the options that we have found below, all of which have a dose of bi pride thrown in to give your costume an extra festive flair. From historical figures to laugh-inducing puns, there are plenty of options to satisfy your Halloween needs.

1) Bi-lociraptor

This is the perfect costume for the pun-loving, goofy bi in all of us who, deep down, wants to be the sassiest of all known dinosaurs this Halloween. You can go as extravagant (inflatable suit) to simple (a t-shirt and some face paint), but the most important part of this ensemble is perfecting that bi-lociraptor screech before the festivities begin. Nail that and no one will question your spot at the top of the dinosaur pyramid.

2) Piper Chapman (Orange is the New Black)

What better way to celebrate the finale of the OITNB phenomenon than by dressing up as the one and only Piper Chapman? Love or hate her, Piper (and several other characters on the show) provided viewers with insights about and opportunities to discuss bisexuality which have rarely been seen before, making her an excellent character to dress up as for this and future Halloweens.

3) Freddie Mercury

This legendary Queen frontman was flung back into the public’s eye after the success of the recent biopic picture, Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). While the jury is still out on whether or not the film represented Mercury’s bisexuality in a realistic way, there is no question that the man himself was a vibrant, talented, and proud bi man. Dress up in one of his simple looks or take a more extravagant route… but know that any look you pull from this icon is bound to be a crowd-pleaser at any Halloween event.

4) Detective Rosa Diaz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine)

While the entire cast of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is incredibly lovable, Rosa Diaz has a special place in my bisexual heart. Smart, strong, and capable, Detective Diaz is not one to suffer fools and is a powerful role model for bi individuals to look up to. She doesn’t make excuses for who she is, is confident in her abilities, and can pull off a leather jacket like few others can.

5) A Unicorn

Embrace your mystical, magical side and take on the immense power of the unicorn for your costume this Halloween. Beloved by the queer community as a whole, this mythical creature has a special place in the bi community, making it well-worth the honor of being your special outfit for the festivities to come.

6) Frida Kahlo

Celebrated around the world for her masterful artwork, Frida Kahlo is also renowned for embracing her bisexuality as well. This powerful, talented woman has inspired countless others with her fearless work and open personal life, making her a great person to honor this coming Halloween season.

7) Oscar Wilde

Bust out your best Victorian-era look to honor this celebrated playwright, poet, author, and bisexual icon. Or, if Mr. Wilde himself doesn’t fulfill your Halloween needs, dress up as one of his many fantastic characters and showcase his cultural contributions in a way that best suits your personality.

8) Pam Poovey (Archer)

Pam is truly one-of-a-kind, making her an exceptional option for Halloween fun. She lives life to the fullest, is wildly unexpected with her speech and actions and, more often than not, is the life of the party (it might be a party she alone is participating in, but she gives it life nonetheless).

9) Eleanor Shellstrop (The Good Place)

If you’re tired of forking around looking for a timely, easy-to-pull-off Halloween costume, then look no further than Eleanor Shellstrop. Her slow but steady transformation from a terrible person to a slightly less terrible person on The Good Place has charmed audiences for several seasons. With the show wrapping up soon, there’s no better way to celebrate this character than by stealing her look and pretending it was your idea all along.

10) Bi Pride Flag

Leave absolutely NO ONE in the dark about your bi pride by decking yourself out in magenta, blue, and lavender colors of the bi flag! You can go the color block route and turn yourself into a living bi flag or deck yourself out in a mashup of these colors and go as a whirlwind of bisexual pride; either way, you can’t lose with colors like these.

If you haven’t found your costume, never fear; there are countless bi figures, characters and symbols that you can use to deliver a fierce Halloween look while sharing your bi pride with the world. Check out our Famous Bis or Bi Characters for some more inspiration.
