There is a love so deep that it brings a lump to the throat and tears to the eyes merely to think of it. It is not the passion between husband and wife, although that love is deep and abiding and deserves tomes dedicated unto it on its own. That love is worthy of awe, but it is not that of which I speak. The love I know is passionate, fierce and tender; it is deep and wide and immense; it burns the heart. This is the love of two women who have endured storms and weathered life's turbulence. It is the love of sisters who have seen each other's worst qualities and darkest moments and cling to each other all the more ferociously for it. It is gentle and enduring; fiery and passionately devoted. It will not be swayed, though the world be torn asunder and the mountains fall into the sea. It transcends age, distance and time. It outlasts death. It is an incredible gift from heaven.

If you have been granted this gift, the blessing of a woman who would die for you in a moment, and with her last heartbeat whisper that she loves you, heed well my words: cherish it. Protect it. Guard it close to you and do not let it be damaged. For while the love of a woman will endure beyond the grave, it is fragile nonetheless. If you take it for granted and do not do everything in your power to protect it as your own heart, it will slip from your grasp like water... and no amount of reaching will bring it back.
