Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, known simply as Billie Eilish, is an American pop singer and songwriter.
She rose to fame with her 2015 debut single “Ocean Eyes". From there she released her first EP in 2017, Don’t Smile at Me, and her 2019 debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, to fantastic commercial success. Her music has shot to the top of the US Billboard 200 as well as the UK Albums Chart, and has sold over 10 million albums, over 50 million singles, and, as of 2021, has been streamed over 76 billion times. Eilish has 110 million followers on Instagram, and nearly 50 million on YouTube, where her music videos have been cumulatively viewed over 14 billion times.
Eilish’s two studio albums, two EPs, and dozens of singles have been as popular within the entertainment industry as they have been among fans. Eilish has earned seven Grammy Awards and 19 nominations, two Guinness World Records, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award. In 2020, at just 18, she became the youngest artist to ever sweep the “Big Four” awards at the Grammys — best new artist, album of the year, song of the year, and record of the year. In 2023, she wrote "What Was I Made For?" for the Barbie movie, a decision that would earn her her second Academy Award in 2024. This song beautifully captured the essence of the iconic Mattel doll in the year's blockbuster hit, making her the youngest person to win two Academy Awards.

I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real. … I have deep connections with women in my life. … I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence.
