About Me

Ello world! I am a Seattle girl living in Michigan with my wonderful boyfriend. I am currently working as a custodian until we have enough money saved up for me to attend college- where I plan on becoming a fitness trainer and becoming fluent in German! rnI am crazy about cats but love nature and all it’s creatures. I enjoy camping in the wilderness as much as curling up at home watching Netflix until I pass out.

What Being Bi Means to Me

When I say I identify as a bisexual, I mean I am physically and sexually attracted to both genders. I am attracted to manly men and girlie girls and sometimes vice versa! It isn’t about me enjoying say, femininity in both genders. But the beauty and complexity of both gender.

If the World Knew About Bisexuals

Bisexuality and polyamory are… -pause for dramatic effect- NOT THE SAME nor are they interchangeable terms. Just because we are attracted to both genders does not mean we crave the other gender, nor does it mean you will be cheated on with the other genders. Straight men and women can cheat. So can homosexuals. So can bisexuals, pansexuals, etc. Being a cheater has nothing to do with ones sexuality, but their morals as a person.

My Path to Bisexual Identity

For a long time I was “bi-curious” because I didn’t understand that feeling attraction to both genders was a thing. I felt I had to “pick” one and would become terribly confused when I thought I liked only males, then would see an attractive female and blush. Was I a lesbian? But lesbians liked just girls, not both! It took awhile for me to understand who I was, and to see that I wasn’t going through a phase. That I can have the same deep feelings for a woman that I had for a man.

The Toughest Thing About Being Bi

I feel that both heterosexuals and homosexuals have a negativity towards bisexuals because they feel one should be chosen. Because they themselves are only attracted to one gender and cannot fathom an attraction to both!
