Gitta Andersen

I was born in California. I have 2 parents and an older sister. I will be living in Oregon soon going to college for a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. My goal in life is to be a parasitologist. Parasitology is the study of parasites. I find the broad spectrum of species of parasites absolutely fascinating. Reading books gives me hope for the future because if people can make such amazing stories, then there must be good people in the world.

Bisexual means to have an interest in both men and women. I have only ever had boyfriends, but I still have an interest in women. I did not realize my sexuality until the end of high school. I am a little more interested in women though.

I would like to know that I am not alone since most of my friends are either gay or straight.

I grew up as Lutheran who went to a Christian elementary school. I was taught that women can only love men. As I grew up, I became interested in the opposite gender, but also the same gender, which confused me. I actually had wet dreams about both men and women, so I constantly changed my orientation from gay to straight. It was like this until I learned about bisexuality at the end of my high school career. I knew instantly that I am bisexual.
