Ramona Royale

Ramona Royale (played by Angela Bassett), is an actress and the former lover of The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel (2015-2016). 

She was an actress who worked in a number of blaxploitation films in the ’70s. After starring in movies with titles like Slaughter Sister and Bride of Blackenstein, she wanted to become a more mainstream actress. Her ambition brought her across the path of The Countess. The had a decades-long affair, during which The Countess turns Ramona into a vampire. 

In 1991, Ramona Royale realizes that her relationship with The Countess is doomed to fail. After decades of believing that she had already found the great love of her life, she met an up-and-coming rapper and music producer named Prophet Moses. They fell deeply in love and she eventually turns him into a vampire. The Countess, in a jealous rage, murders Prophet Moses and his entire crew. 

Decades later, she teams up with the residents of the Cortez Hotel to try and take down The Countess.
