Zevran Arainai is an Antivan Crow assassin in the Dragon Age game series. Zevran is introduced in Dragon Age: Origins (2009) and is also in Dragon Age II (2011). He can be a member of your party in the first game.
He is an elf whose Dalish mother was married to a woodcutter. After the woodcutter’s death, Zevran’s mother was forced to work in a brothel to pay off her husband’s debts. She died shortly after Zevran’s birth. He doesn’t know whether his father was the woodcutter, or one of his mother’s clients.
Zevran was raised in the brothel until he was sold as a slave at age seven. He was then trained to be an assassin by the Antivan Crows. He is very open about the fact that he enjoys sex and about his attraction to people and elves regardless of their gender.
